Electrical Engineering and Information Science

A fusion of hardware and software
supports society for the future

As public interest grows in a recycling-oriented society in harmony with the global environment and a network society that enables everyone to access, process and use information and communicate with each other anytime and from anywhere, and to ensure comfortable daily lives now and in the future and support society’s continued development, there is a strong need for human resources equipped with systematic understanding of the design, planning and running of systems encompassing everything from electricity, information and communication through to production, and the ability to skillfully utilize all of their software and hardware aspects.

The Division of Electrical Engineering and Information Science develops researchers and engineers who will take responsibility for the smart community and intelligent network society friendly to humans and the environment, with specialized knowledge in electrical/electronic systems, advanced energy systems, information and communication systems, production systems, computer software, information networks, recognition and learning, etc.
